Reverse description Central field features a large ornate six-petalled rose with acanthus-style foliage, at the centre of which is a small shield bearing the numeral II (denoting the denomination of 2 Schilling), framed by a beaded inner circle. Four small cross-pattée marks appear at the cardinal points between the petals. The outer legend, divided into four segments, reads RVDO. - II.D.G. - RO.I.S. - A.P.F.D., an abbreviated reference to the Holy Roman Emperor Rudolf II, by the grace of God, Roman Emperor, ever August, King of Bohemia and Archduke of Austria, confirming imperial authorization of the coinage.
