Reverse description Saint Lawrence depicted full-length, standing facing, vested in clerical robes and holding his attribute, the gridiron, before him. The figure occupies the central field within a beaded inner border, with the saint's nimbed head visible at the top. The surrounding Latin legend names the saint, distributed around the periphery of the coin. The style is consistent with late Gothic iconographic conventions common to Hanseatic municipal coinage of the early sixteenth century.
