| Reverse description | The reverse field is similarly divided by two horizontal ruled lines into three registers, each bearing Persian legends in Nasta'liq script. The uppermost register contains the Basmala or a divine invocation, the central register carries the mint epithet and regnal formula, and the lower register records the regnal year (Mauludi year) of issue together with the mint name Patan. A Hijri or Mauludi year numeral is visible in the lower left of the bottom register. The beaded border mirrors that of the obverse, giving the coin a uniform, well-organised appearance consistent with Tipu Sultan's standardised currency. |
