| Reverse description | The reverse features a large, centrally positioned facing bust of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, the eminent Indian statesman and founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, rendered in high relief with fine facial detail. His name appears in a circular legend around the upper periphery, in Devanagari ('डॉ. श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी') to the left and in Latin ('DR. SYAMA PRASAD MOOKERJEE') to the right, separated by a dot. Along the lower periphery, the Devanagari inscription 'जन्मशती' (meaning 'Birth Centenary') appears to the left of the date '2001', followed by 'CENTENARY' in Latin to the right, commemorating the centenary of his birth. |
