| Obverse description | The Ashoka Lion Capital, India's national emblem, is depicted in the centre of the field, flanked by two raised horizontal lines forming a band across the coin. Above the upper line, the bilingual legend reads 'भारत' in Devanagari script to the left and 'INDIA' in Latin script to the right. Below the capital, within the band, the motto 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Truth Alone Triumphs) appears in Devanagari script. The date is inscribed in the lower segment beneath the lower horizontal line, with the mint mark appearing directly below the date. |
