| Obverse description | Intaglio-printed engraved portrait of King George V set within an octagonal panel at the upper left, with the denomination "Rupees 2/8" appearing at the upper right and lower left corners. The central field carries the bearer promise text over a bluish-green guilloche rosette underprint, with note serial numbers flanking the value at the upper right and lower left. The note is signed by M.M.S. Gubbay, whose tenure ran from July 1916 to May 1920. |
