| Reverse description | A crowned shield bearing two crossed swords and a fish — the arms of Narva — occupies the central field, with the date split to either side (16 - 71) and the denomination numeral flanking the shield (2 - R). The mintmaster's initials 'L N' (Levin Numens) appear in the lower field, divided by the base of the shield. On this variety, no ribbon is depicted beneath the shield, distinguishing it from related issues. The overall composition is typical of late 17th-century Swedish Baltic provincial coinage. |
