Additional information

Belarus began issuing a bimetallic rouble series in 2009 following the catastrophic 2011 currency crisis, which wiped out roughly half the rouble's value against the dollar in a single year and forced a complete monetary overhaul by 2016. The redenominated rouble introduced that year shed four zeros and brought with it a new coin infrastructure designed to handle everyday transactions that paper had previously dominated by necessity.

The truck motif places this piece in a transport-themed circulation subset — a formatting choice the National Bank has used across multiple denominations to anchor new coinage in recognizable domestic industry.
