| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a centaur in profile, bow drawn and arrow aimed, rendered against a star-filled background evoking the night sky. To the right of the central design appears the astrological symbol for Sagittarius (♐), identifying the subject as the ninth sign of the zodiac. The composition is executed in high relief with fine detail in the centaur's musculature and the starfield, characteristic of the proof finish applied to this series. The field is polished, contrasting with the frosted relief of the figure and celestial motifs. |
