| Obverse description | At centre, the two-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia as designed by Ivan Bilibin occupies the field, rendered in the heraldic style characteristic of early 20th-century Russian decorative art. A beaded inner circle surrounds the eagle, with the curved inscription БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) arcing below it. The upper rim bears the denomination legend ДВА РУБЛЯ (Two Roubles), while the lower rim carries the date 2000. Flanking the eagle in the field are the alloy designation and fineness (Ag 925) to the left, and the fine metal content with the Saint Petersburg Mint monogram (СПМД) to the right. |
