| Obverse description | At centre, the official emblem of the Bank of Russia — a double-headed eagle with wings lowered — occupies the inner field, enclosed within a beaded circle. The curved inscription БАНК РОССИИ (BANK OF RUSSIA) arcs beneath the eagle. Along the upper rim, the denomination legend ДВА РУБЛЯ (TWO ROUBLES) is inscribed, while the lower rim carries, from left to right, the precious metal designation and fineness (Ag 925), the year of issue 2008 г., the fine metal content (15.55), and the Saint Petersburg Mint monogram СПМД. |
