| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in brown tones on a pale ground and carries the title inscription "Rentenbankschein" across the upper portion, with the denomination "Zwei Rentenmark" in bold letterpress below. The central field bears the issuing authority text, place and date of issue (Berlin, 30 January 1937), and the authorising clause referencing the ordinance of 15 October 1923, all set within a fine guilloche underprint. Facsimile signature lines for the President and Board of Directors of the Deutsche Rentenbank appear at the foot. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is printed in brown on a cream ground and dominated by an elaborate guilloche lathe-work pattern filling the entire field, with large numeral "2" counters positioned at the left and right flanking a central oval vignette containing a sheaf of wheat. The bold inscription "Deutsche Rentenbank" runs across the top and "Zwei Rentenmark" across the bottom, both in ornate Gothic script. The anti-counterfeiting warning text is set vertically along the left margin, and a smaller "2 Rentenmark" denomination marker appears at the lower left outside the main border. |
