Metallwerke Holleischen GmbH was a munitions factory operating near Holýšov in the Sudetenland using forced labor drawn from a satellite camp of the Flossenbürg concentration camp system. These small-denomination Lagergeld notes — grey cardboard chits, essentially — were issued as internal camp scrip, redeemable only at the camp canteen. The system was designed to create the appearance of compensation while ensuring that nothing of real monetary value ever left the facility.
Camb#4092 is among the lower denominations in the Holleischen series. Scrip of this type was typically printed in-house or by a local job printer; no major security printing house was involved.
