Reverse description Central device depicts a liberty pole surmounted by a Phrygian cap, flanked by laurel branches curving upward from the base, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The denomination '2 R.' is inscribed in the field to the left and right of the pole's shaft. The date appears in the lower portion of the inner circle beneath the liberty pole. The outer legend 'MONEDA PROVISIONAL' encircles the design between the beaded border and the inner circle, with the year also integrated into the lower field. The engraving is bold and somewhat primitive, consistent with the provisional nature of this early Salvadoran coinage.
