| Reverse description | The reverse displays a bold monogram formed by the interlaced letters S and M above the denomination mark 2·R, all centrally placed within the irregular field. The date 1813 is incorporated into the design. In the lower right quadrant, a countermark consisting of a 16-square lattice pattern (arranged in a 4×4 grid) is struck into the surface. Additional pellet stops flank the denomination. The coarse, hand-struck execution is consistent with the improvised minting practices of the Oaxacan Insurgent administration during the Mexican War of Independence. |
