| Reverse description | A cross pattée divides the quartered arms of Castile and León, featuring castles and lions alternately in each quarter, following the traditional Spanish colonial heraldic arrangement. The denomination '2' appears at the top and bottom of the field, flanking the central cross. Assayer or mint initials appear at the left and right sides of the cross within the quarters. The strike is characteristic of cob (macuquina) coinage, with a crude, irregular appearance typical of hammered silver issues of the period. |
