Reverse description The entire field is occupied by a five-line proclamation inscription in capital letters reading PRO / CLAMADO / EN CIUDAD / R·DE CHIA / PA·ANO, with the date 1808 in the lower exergue, all enclosed within a wreath composed of two symmetrical laurel or olive branches tied at the base with a small ornamental bow. Small dot ornaments punctuate the spaces between the text lines. The toothed milled border frames the composition, and the overall design conveys the commemorative nature of Fernando VII's royal proclamation at Ciudad Real de Chiapa.
