Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of King Fernando VII facing right, rendered in the neoclassical style introduced for the second coinage type. The effigy shows the king with curly hair bound by a laurel wreath, with a ribbon tied at the nape of the neck and drapery at the truncation. The circular legend reads FERDIN·VII·DEI·GRATIA, divided by the bust, with the date appearing in the lower field below the portrait. A toothed border runs along the entire periphery.
