Reverse description Central device depicting the royal monogram or crowned yoke-and-arrows device, the emblems of Fernando and Isabel respectively, rendered in the Gothic style typical of late 15th- to mid-16th-century Spanish hammered coinage. The design is set within a beaded inner circle, with a partial Latin legend encircling the periphery of the irregularly shaped flan. The strike, as is common for macuquinas of this period, is uneven, resulting in partial legend and device visibility.
