| Obverse description | Crowned quartered arms shield of Castile and León, surmounted by a large royal crown with elaborate fleurons. The mintmark of Guatemala (G) appears to the left of the shield, with the denomination numeral '2' to the right. The design is characteristic of the macuquina (cob) coinage style, with a roughly irregular flan and bold but often partially struck central devices. The overall composition follows the standard Philipine colonial arms type issued under Felipe V. |
