| Obverse description | Draped bust of King Carlos IV facing right, with queue tied by a ribbon, rendered in the neoclassical style engraved by Pedro González de Sepúlveda. The effigy displays the king in civilian dress with a lace jabot visible at the chest. The circular legend CAROLUS IIII·DEI·G· runs around the periphery, with the date 1801 positioned in the lower exergual area.
