Obverse description Armored and draped bust of King Carlos III facing right, rendered in the laureate portrait style characteristic of Spanish colonial milled coinage. The hair is tied at the nape with a bow, and the truncation shows elaborate drapery and armor detailing. A circular legend surrounds the effigy, with the date 1787 positioned in the exergue at the bottom of the field. The portrait follows the standard bust type introduced for the Nueva Guatemala mint under Carlos III.
