| Obverse description | Two crowned Pillars of Hercules flanked by waves, with the motto PLUS VLTRA in horizontal bands across the pillars. The denomination numeral appears in the upper field and the date in the lower field. Legends and numerals are arranged in horizontal lines characteristic of the macuquina (cob) coinage tradition. The design follows the colonial Spanish milled-coin heritage adapted for early Honduran republican coinage. |
