Obverse description Central device featuring the narrow heraldic shield of the Canton of Schwyz, displaying vertical lines with a small Swiss cross in the upper dexter field. The shield is flanked by crossed branches of laurel and floral sprigs, lending a decorative civic character to the design. The circumferential legend CANTON SCHWYZ arcs around the upper portion of the field in raised Latin capitals. The coin is bordered by a dentillated inner rim running the full circumference.
