Obverse description Central field displays a narrow heraldic shield charged with vertical lines and a cross motif, flanked on either side by leafy branches curving upward from below. The circumferential legend CANTON SCHWYZ is arranged around the upper portion of the field in raised Latin lettering, separated by a pellet stop. The overall composition is set within a plain inner field with a milled border.
