| Reverse description | The traditional Qajar royal emblem occupies the central field: a lion passant to the right, with a radiant rising sun emerging from its back, holding an upright sword in its right forepaw. The lion and sun device is set upon a ground line and flanked on both sides by large, detailed sprays of oak leaves and acorns forming a wreath. Surmounting the composition at the top is a Kiani crown. No legend appears on this side; the design is entirely heraldic in character. |
