| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, modelled by Raphael David Maklouf, occupying the central silver field of a bimetallic-style piedfort flan. The Queen is depicted wearing the George IV State Diadem, a pearl necklace, and drop earring, with finely detailed hair arranged in curls. The designer's initials RDM appear below the truncation. The surrounding outer ring is rendered in gilt finish and carries the Latin legend ELIZABETH·II·DEI·GRATIA·REGINA·F·D arranged around the full circumference, separated by raised dots, with a beaded inner border delineating the central field from the inscribed ring. |
