| Reverse description | A large stylised Royal British Legion poppy, rendered in high relief and occupying the full copper-nickel centre field, with a circular void at its heart evoking the flower's seed capsule. The surrounding nickel-brass ring bears a laurel wreath border flanking the commemorative legend WE WILL REMEMBER THEM arcing across the upper portion, with the denomination TWO POUNDS inscribed along the lower arc. |

| Additional information |
The Royal British Legion was founded in 1921 — the same year the red poppy was first adopted as its official symbol of remembrance, drawn from John McCrae's 1915 poem and the devastated poppy fields of Flanders. Jersey, occupied by German forces from 1940 to 1945, has particular reason to mark the occasion: islanders who escaped before the occupation served in all branches of the British armed forces, while those who remained endured five years of rationing, deportations, and forced labor.
