Reverse description Central medallion framed by a beaded inner circle depicts a right-facing crowned bust of King Henry I, rendered in a medievalising engraving style, wearing a jewelled crown and beaded collar. The regnal dates 1100 and 1135 appear to either side of the bust within the inner circle. The legend HENRY I arcs across the upper border of the outer field, while TWO POUNDS is inscribed along the lower border. Decorative foliate branch motifs flank the central medallion on both sides within the outer field.
