Additional information

Gibraltar has issued commemorative coinage under its own authority since 1967, when the territory gained a degree of internal self-government, and Churchill pieces have been a recurring subject given his wartime role in defending the Rock — he visited Gibraltar in 1943 en route to North Africa. The "Let Us Go Forward" phrase derives from Churchill's address to the Canadian Parliament in December 1941, delivered just days after Pearl Harbor brought the United States into the war.

The layered gold treatment — rose gold base with 24ct accents — is a production technique associated with the Bradford Exchange and similar licensed distributors rather than sovereign mint practice.
