Reverse description The reverse features Philip Nathan's celebrated Britannia design as reinterpreted by P.J. Lynch, depicting the helmeted seated figure of Britannia to the right, draped in classical robes, holding a trident in her right hand and a shield decorated with the Union Flag at her left side. A large lion couchant occupies the central foreground, positioned beside her. Radiating lines emanate from behind the figures to suggest sunlight, creating a dramatic sunburst backdrop. The word BRITANNIA is inscribed in large letters across the upper field in an arc, with the legend 1 OZ 999 FINE SILVER to the inner left, the date 2021 displayed prominently in the lower exergue, and the engraver's initials PJL discretely placed to the lower right of the design.
