| Obverse description | Bimetallic coin featuring the fourth crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, as sculpted by Ian Rank-Broadley, set within the copper-nickel centre. The Queen wears the George IV State Diadem, rendered in fine detail with curled hair. The engraver's initials 'IRB' appear below the truncation of the neck. The legend 'GIBRALTAR · ELIZABETH II ·' is inscribed along the upper arc of the nickel brass outer ring, with the date appearing along the lower arc, all separated by a beaded inner border. |
