| Additional information |
Saint Helena issued commemorative crowns sporadically throughout the 1980s and 1990s under a joint issuing authority with Ascension Island — a pairing that existed largely for administrative convenience rather than any shared monetary history. The 1993 coronation anniversary issue falls squarely into the wave of Commonwealth commemoratives produced for the 40th, a category so heavily minted across dozens of territories that survival rates are high and collector premiums remain modest.
KM#18 was struck by the Pobjoy Mint, which held the contract for Saint Helena's commemorative coinage during this period.
