Obverse description Central field bears the Prussian royal arms: a shield displaying the spread eagle of Prussia, with wings elevated and displayed, holding a sceptre and orb in its talons, surmounted by a royal crown. The circular legend reads '180 EINEN THALER' around the periphery, denoting the coin's fractional value relative to the thaler. The design is rendered in a clean, neoclassical style typical of Prussian coinage of the mid-nineteenth century.
