The issuer's name appears in three lines of raised Latin capital letters: 'ADOLF' across the top, 'BLEICHERT & Co' in the centre, and 'LEIPZIG' along the lower margin. The large numeral '2', denoting the denomination in Pfennig, is prominently struck in the central field between the firm name and city name, rendered in a bold serif style with a distinctive curled upper stroke.
