Obverse description Central device features the crowned coat of arms of Saxe-Meiningen, depicting the quartered Saxon shield with horizontal barry stripes and a diagonal bend charged with roundels, surmounted by a ducal crown with elaborate arched bands and jeweled ornamentation. The shield is rendered in fine relief with precise heraldic detail. A continuous circular legend surrounds the central device, reading HERZOGTHUM SACHSEN MEININGEN, separated at the base by a small star. The entire design is framed by an inner beaded border running along the coin's rim.
