| Obverse description | The obverse features the large numeral '2' prominently displayed in the upper central field, with the denomination legend 'PFENNIG' inscribed below it in bold capital letters. The circular legend 'UNIVERSITÄTSSTADT' arcs along the upper periphery, while 'TÜBINGEN' runs along the lower periphery, both separated by small six-pointed star stops at either side.
