| Obverse description | The octagonal field displays the municipal arms of Roth bei Nürnberg at centre: a quartered shield bearing the initial 'R' in the upper-left quarter and a diaper pattern in the remaining quarters, surmounted by a mural crown with three visible towers. The shield is flanked by decorative foliate scrollwork. The circular legend 'STADT ROTH B./NBG.' arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by small five-pointed stars at either side, all enclosed within a raised beaded border following the octagonal outline. |
