Obverse description Central field features a large imperial crown above two juxtaposed shields: the dexter shield bearing the Austrian fess (horizontal bar) and the sinister shield displaying the Imperial double-headed eagle. The date is divided at the upper left and upper right of the crown, with the mintmaster's initial appearing in the lower field. The design is typical of early 17th-century Habsburg small denomination coinage, struck on a irregular flan by hammer technique with a beaded border around the periphery.
