To the left, a large ornate numeral "2" is intertwined with a heraldic eagle vignette. The denomination "DOS PESOS" appears in a bold black panel at centre, followed by the parenthetical equivalent "(o sean Veinte reales)", with the body text in italic script and two manuscript signatures at the bottom above the place and date line "Bogotá, ___ de 186__".
