Obverse description Dark olive-brown intaglio print on a light ground. At left, a vignette of a uniformed military bust in profile faces right, flanked by vertical guilloche side panels bearing the numeral '2' repeated. A central vignette presents a panoramic cityscape of Santiago beneath the main inscriptions. Two circular official ink stamps are applied over the centre. The numeral '2' appears in an ornate cartouche at upper right, with the Chilean coat of arms at lower right.

Reverse description Printed in brown on a plain paper ground, the reverse is entirely composed of an elaborate symmetrical guilloche pattern radiating from a central panel. The numeral '2' appears in ornamental cartouches at the left and right extremities, while the issuer's name is set within a banderole at the centre top. The printer's imprint appears at the lower centre margin.
