| Obverse description | The obverse carries a large allegorical vignette at left with two putti figures in an engraved intaglio style, and a portrait medallion at right of a uniformed military figure set within an ornate foliate frame. The upper margin bears the inscription REPUBLICA ARGENTINA flanked by the numeral 2 in each corner, while a rectangular overprint reads REPUBLICA ARGENTINA / PROVINCIAL DE SAN JUAN / Ley 16 Octubre 1891. The serial number, series, and handwritten signatures of issuing authorities appear across the lower portion of the note. |
