Obverse description Plain typeset note with a decorative border of repeating ornamental devices framing the entire face. The denomination "Dos Pesos" is inscribed at the top centre in italic script, with a promise-to-pay text below reading that the bank will pay the bearer on demand one ounce of gold for every seventeen pesos in these billets. The circular ink stamp of the Banco de Buenos Ayres appears at centre, with manuscript date "Nov. 20 de 1823" and two handwritten signatures flanking the stamp below the text.
