| Obverse description | Entirely letterpress-printed in red on plain paper, the face is structured by a rectangular border with corner denomination tablets each reading '2 PTAS.' The issuer's name 'Consejo Municipal de Petrel' runs across the upper field, with a series letter and stamped serial number to the upper right. A stippled dot-matrix underprint fills the central area, over which the value 'DOS PESETAS' is set in large bold type. The lower portion carries printed signature lines for the Mayor (El Alcalde) and the Secretary (El Secretario), with the emission year 'Emisión 1937' in italic script at bottom centre. |
