| Reverse description | The denomination inscription occupies the full field in three lines reading II PENNING, with a small trefoil or floral ornament separating the numeral II from the word PENNING. The lettering is rendered in bold capital Roman characters typical of the period. A decorative floral or rosette mint mark device appears at the foot of the field below the denomination. The coin is bordered by a continuous beaded rim consistent with hammered coinage of the Copenhagen mint. |
