| Obverse description | Royal crowned monogram of Christian IV occupying the central field, formed by the interlaced letter C enclosing the numerals 6 and 0, surmounted by a royal crown. The date elements 1 and 2 flank the monogram on either side, completing the year 1602. The entire design is surrounded by a beaded inner border, typical of early Danish hammered copper coinage. The execution is bold and characteristic of early seventeenth-century Scandinavian die-cutting. |
