Reverse description A floriate or cross pattée with fleur-de-lis terminals occupies the central field, its foliated arms radiating symmetrically to fill the interior of the inner beaded circle. The scrolling foliage between the arms of the cross is rendered in the typical Brabantine decorative vocabulary of the period. The circumferential legend in Gothic uncial script, separated by double saltire stops, runs between the beaded inner circle and the outer rim of the flan.
