Reverse description The heraldic badge of the Prince of Wales occupies the centre of the field, depicting a plume of three ostrich feathers arising from and enfiling a coronet composed of alternating crosses pattée and fleurs-de-lys. The Welsh motto ICH DIEN, meaning 'I serve', is inscribed on a ribbon dividing the central device. The legend TWO PENCE arches above, and the numeral 2 appears below, the whole composition being the work of engraver Christopher Ironside.
