Reverse description The central field within a lobed cartouche displays the mint name and regnal year in Arabic script, arranged in two horizontal registers separated by a ruled line. The upper register contains the mint epithet and the word 'Baghdad', while the lower register bears the Hijri date 1223. Below the inner cartouche, additional Arabic inscriptions indicating the regnal year of the sultan appear in the lower portion of the field. The cartouche is framed by an outer border of pellets and wave-like ornamental devices, mirroring the obverse design.
