| Obverse description | Crude hammered field bearing Persian/Devanagari legends arranged in horizontal registers divided by a raised line. The inscriptions, characteristic of the regal issues of the Chhota-Udaipur princely state, are rendered in a provincial style typical of early 19th-century Indian feudatory coinage. The flan is irregular and exhibits natural casting porosity consistent with hand-struck copper coinage of this period. |

| Additional information |
Chhota-Udaipur was a small Rajput state in what is now eastern Gujarat, subordinate to the Gaekwad of Baroda under British paramountcy. Guman Singh Ji ruled for nearly three decades, and copper coinage of this type circulated alongside Gaekwadi issues in local markets where fractional transactions made silver impractical. KM#15.1 distinguishes this variety from a closely related type, suggesting at minimum two die series were produced across the reign.
