| Reverse description | Central field bears a multi-line Persian legend in bold, deeply struck Nastaliq script, filling the flan. The date 1250 AH (1835 CE) appears prominently in Arabic-Eastern numerals in the lower portion of the field. Decorative dot arrangements flank portions of the inscription, a typical ornamental feature of Hyderabad feudatory coinage. The overall strike is characteristic of hand-hammered copper issues with an uneven, slightly domed surface. |

Elichpur (now Achalpur in Maharashtra) was a small feudatory under the Nizam of Hyderabad, permitted to strike its own copper coinage as a administrative concession common to the larger feudatories within the Hyderabad Residency. The 1835 date places this issue squarely within the tenure of the sixth Nizam, Mahbub Ali Khan's predecessor Nasir ud-Daulah, whose reign saw a gradual tightening of British influence over internal Hyderabad affairs — including, eventually, the suppression of feudatory minting privileges.
